About the Role:

The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for both staff and customers. This position involves the efficient cleaning of dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to support smooth food service operations. The Dishwasher contributes to the overall customer experience by enabling timely meal preparation and service through prompt and thorough cleaning.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic reading and comprehension skills to understand instructions and safety guidelines.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds safely.
• Capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions without compromising quality.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality to maintain consistent kitchen operations.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of proper sanitization techniques and food safety standards.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines and manual methods as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and work surfaces.
• Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in designated areas for use by kitchen and service staff.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables properly and assist with general kitchen cleaning duties as assigned.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when necessary.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the supervisor promptly.
