About the Accountant Role

The Accountant will join a dynamic team in the Dunwoody office, reporting to the Accounting Manager. This individual will collaborate closely with divisional, corporate, business unit, and internal stakeholders. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities of the Accountant

• Perform month‑end close procedures.
• Create and enter journal entries into the JD Edwards accounting system.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial analysis for balance sheet and P&L accounts.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests, including preparing schedules and communicating with auditors.
• Work effectively in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
• Perform special accounting projects as assigned.
• Provide expertise and support for continuous improvement initiatives related to transactional processing.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and GAAP to maintain a strong internal control environment.

Minimum Qualifications for the Accountant Role

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent (required).
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and Index/Match.
• Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) or Hyperion is a plus.
