Job OverviewThe Student Financial Management Center Specialist at the Dunwoody campus provides excellent in‑person and telephone customer service in a high‑volume environment to students, parents, and the university community regarding financial aid and student account processes. The specialist also assists with outreach efforts to support enrollment and retention objectives.
Responsibilities- Provide information to students, parents, colleagues, and the university community regarding financial aid and student accounts via phone and in‑person in accordance with federal, state, Board of Regents, and institutional regulations.
- Investigate and provide solutions regarding financial aid and student account customer issues.
- Review the accuracy of financial aid applications and verify application information with supporting documentation.
- Evaluate financial circumstances to determine appropriate student account payment options.
- Assist with community outreach efforts, including conducting calling campaigns and financial management workshops and orientation presentations to students, parents, and other University staff and key groups.
- Offer counseling on enrollment management issues from orientation to enrollment and beyond, including admissions, registration, and academic records.
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience; or combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring QualificationsPreference will be given to applicants with customer service experience. Financial Aid and student accounts experience is preferred but not required. Working knowledge of Banner and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $39,200 - $42,000 annually; benefits include health, dental, vision, tuition assistance, retirement, etc.
Working Conditions- Location:
Dunwoody Campus - Shift: Monday‑Friday, 8:30 AM–5:15 PM
