Job Description

The Advanced Analytics Manager is a highly technical, hands‑on role responsible for conducting complex analyses that move ABM beyond reporting into decision‑ready insights. This individual will own the design and delivery of predictive and prescriptive analyses while continuously experimenting with emerging technologies and methods.

Responsibilities Hands‑On Analytics & Technical Expertise
  • Solve key business problems by designing and executing advanced analyses such as optimization models, predictive and prescriptive frameworks, and scenario simulations.
  • Act as a technical expert across multiple technologies (R, SQL, Power BI, Salesforce, Snowflake, and others).
  • Rapidly learn and apply new tools, libraries, and techniques to solve complex business problems.
  • Collaborate with other analytics resources on development to enhance forecasting and build prescriptive layers on top of predictive outputs.
  • Translate technical work into business‑friendly recommendations that drive adoption.
  • Support the data & reporting team with report development and maintenance as needed.
Team Enablement & Mentorship
  • Provide informal leadership and mentorship to junior analytics staff.
  • Coach team members on methods, tools, and the translation of outputs into decision‑ready products.
  • Advocate for best practices in coding, documentation, reproducibility, and deployment of models.
  • Partner with Analytics leadership to set technical standards for the analytics function.
Governance & Adoption
  • Ensure transparency, fairness, and explainability in all deliverables.
  • Embed decision‑support outputs into dashboards and workflows as needed.
  • Promote adoption of advanced analytics through storytelling and practical examples.
Example Projects
  • Develop an RFP/account prioritization scoring model combining structured Salesforce data and unstructured proposal text.
  • Build account engagement scoring model to optimize outreach by fit and predicted conversion.
  • Create targeted coaching and enablement intervention models based on representative performance and training data.
  • Run scenario simulations to optimize resource allocation across verticals or markets.
  • Deploy a marketing spend optimization model to recommend budget allocation by channel.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Analytics, Decision Sciences, Applied Mathematics, or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, with at least 3 years building predictive/prescriptive models hands‑on.
  • Deep understanding of statistical theory and methods such as regression, correlation, experimental design, sampling, probability distributions, time series analysis, and hypothesis testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply statistical rigor to model development, validation, and interpretation.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in R, SQL, Excel, DAX, and Power BI; experience building, testing, and optimizing models.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly and apply them to real‑world problems.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical outputs to senior business leaders in actionable, accessible terms.
  • Proven success mentoring analysts across reporting, diagnostic, and predictive disciplines.
