Program Lead – Data Oversight & Strategy

Role Summary:

Work cross-functionally with business, tech, and compliance teams to drive effective and scalable data oversight practices. You'll help shape and integrate information governance into processes, tools, and strategic decision-making across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business units to align governance efforts with real-world operations.
• Work with Privacy and Security to clarify roles and ensure data protection goals are met.
• Partner with tech teams to embed governance within software development and delivery life cycles.
• Streamline governance by incorporating responsibilities into current workflows (e.g., assessments, tech collaborations).
• Improve third-party data sharing processes, enabling smarter, faster decision-making.
• Enhance personal data tracking (PII), focusing on systems like GCP and Salesforce.
• Build sustainable processes for data inventory accuracy.
• Define success metrics and design dashboards to monitor governance maturity.
• Align with Enterprise Architecture to measure and improve data governance in application evaluations.
• Support broader data architecture principles through a governance lens.

Details:

This is a contract role (6+ months) with potential for full-time hire. Preference for Atlanta-based candidates available for hybrid in-office collaboration.

What You Bring:

• 10–15 years’ experience in data governance, analytics, or data strategy.
• Strong understanding of data oversight models, frameworks, and quality principles.
• Ability to engage, influence, and communicate effectively across diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with data security/privacy concepts and SDLC methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with metadata, cataloging tools, and KPI reporting.
