Our client is seeking a Security Engineer with 3-5 years of hands‑on experience to help strengthen and scale our security posture across cloud infrastructure, applications, and enterprise environments. This is an opportunity to join a profitable, privately held company that continues to grow through strong sales performance and sustainable business practices.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with modern security tools, cloud environments, and application security practices, with a strong focus on identifying risks and implementing effective security controls.
Their office is in Sandy Springs and would require 2 days in the office to start.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security events and incidents.
- Manage and optimize endpoint detection and response platforms, including Crowd Strike.
- Support and enhance cloud security initiatives within AWS environments.
- Partner with engineering and development teams to embed application security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability management, and risk analysis across cloud and application environments.
- Assist with security architecture reviews and recommend improvements to strengthen overall security posture.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Participate in incident response activities and contribute to continuous security improvement efforts.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, or security engineering roles.
- Hands‑on experience with Crowd Strike
- Strong knowledge of AWS security services, cloud infrastructure, and cloud security best practices.
- Experience with Application Security (App Sec), including vulnerability management and secure development practices.
- Understanding of security frameworks, threat detection, and incident response methodologies.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work effectively across technical teams.
- Industry certifications such as Security+, AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, GSEC, or equivalent.
- Experience securing cloud‑native applications and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops concepts and automation tools.
