Licensed Practical Nurse - Assisted Living

Western Home is seeking a caring Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who loves their work and will join our award‑winning team in Iowa. This full‑time hourly position requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays and exceptional attendance.

• Effectively communicate resident needs with physicians and immediate supervisor
• Maintain awareness of the condition of all residents under your care
• Accurately administer all medications, treatments, and physician orders; taking ultimate responsibility for resident care
• Consult with the Director of Nursing on an ongoing basis regarding problems of care, resident transfers, and workload management
• Coordinate preparation and planning of resident admission, giving proper recognition to family and others in nursing care planning
• Provide emotional and physical comfort and safety of residents, and emotional support to families
• Supervise, assist, consult with, and teach certified nursing assistants

• Graduate of a state board‑approved school
• Currently licensed in Iowa
• Current CPR certification or willingness to achieve it
• Ability and willingness to work weekends and holidays as required/needed
• Exceptional attendance
