- Provide care to residents under the supervision of the nurse and the support of your team.
- Provide physical support for residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising.
- Assist with organizing, cleaning, laundry, meals, and other assigned tasks.
- Promptly answer residents' calls for assistance and provide compassionate care that aligns with their specific care plan.
- Chart resident interactions throughout the shift and communicate efficiently with the members of your team (upon receiving your Medication Manager certificate).
- Medication duties include, but are not limited to, the preparation and administration of medications, tests, and medical treatments.
- Ensure that residents' rights are adhered to.
- Must be 18 years of age to obtain a Medication Manager certification.
- Must be willing to obtain Medication Manager certification (we will enroll you upon hire if you haven't already taken the course). (Not required yet)
- Current active license to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Iowa.
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.
- Strong commitment to serving others.
- Prior direct care experience is preferred, but not required.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as required.
