Ideal candidates will have previous security officer, security guard (armed or unarmed) experience, military and/or law enforcement experience.
Duties and job functions include lobby desk, patrol, control center, access control, emergency response, and risk management. The ideal candidates’ traits: exceptional people skills, professional image, attention to detail, ownership, commitment to team success, outgoing, and driven.

- Deter criminal activity and misconduct.
- Respond to alarms, calls of distress, or emergencies such as fire, injuries, or presence of unauthorized persons by contacting police, fire departments, and/or local emergency response teams.
- Make periodic patrols to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
- Operate access control systems, utilize a computer for incident reports, navigate security software systems or applications, and use email.
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance.
- Demonstrate experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications, and performing in a high-pressure environment.
- Other duties to be determined by security supervisor.
Prior law enforcement experience, military and/or corrections experience.
Applicants must meet one or any reasonable combination of the following requirements:
- Two years of customer service experience.
- Two years of security experience.
- Law Enforcement Experience.
- Corrections Experience.
- Military Experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
- Valid state licensing, if applicable.
- 21 years of age and High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
- Technology skills: operate access control systems, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email.
- Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance.
- Experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications while performing in a medium to high‑pressure environment with frequently changing and/or competing demands.
- Familiarity with report writing.
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
- Above‑average written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public.
- Trained in CPR and First Aid (preferred).
