What You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA preferred

Eight years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Five or more years of related experience within a financial institution or related industry

Extensive experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

Proficiency with financial modeling software and accounting systems

Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing accounting teams

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders

What You’ll do:

Assists the CFO with preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules

Oversees preparation and review of NCUA Call Reports and other regulatory filings

Oversees all general ledger accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and review processes to ensure timely identification, investigation, and resolution of outstanding items and variances.

Directs, develops, and evaluates Accounting Department personnel, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, regulatory compliance, accountability, professional development, and efficient resource utilization.

Maintains and monitors internal controls designed to safeguard Credit Union assets and ensure accurate financial reporting

Oversees CECL methodology, allowance calculations, supporting documentation, and related financial reporting

Leads month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

Leads process improvement and accounting automation efforts

Coordinates regulatory examinations and internal and external audits. Serves as a liaison between the Credit Union and external auditors and regulatory authorities.

Assists Senior Management in developing short- and long-term goals and objectives

Develops, analyzes, and interprets statistical and accounting information to determine Credit Union performance in the areas of profitability, performance against budget and other statistics indicating the financial soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization

Advises department managers regarding accounting entries, financial reporting, and comparative analyses. Assists department groups with research, problem-solving, and input on financial goals

Ensures accounting personnel are informed of accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; promotes consistency throughout accounting operations.

Partners with Information Technology and other departments to implement efficient systems, reporting enhancements, and process improvements.

Assists the CFO with financial analyses related to cash flow, investments, liquidity, banking relationships, and other strategic initiatives Docusign Represents the Credit Union to various trade professionals and groups while ensuring the Credit Union’s professional reputation is maintained

Ensures appropriate levels of confidentiality regarding the Credit Union’s operations

Prepares and assists with procedures and policy making as it pertains to the accounting department. Ensures that well-documented procedures exist for all relevant processes.

Completes special accounting projects as assigned
