Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst
As a Business Partner to the Finance Controller, you will drive financial excellence through comprehensive treasury management, ensuring optimal cash operations, and maintaining rigorous compliance with SOX, US GAAP, and international reporting standards. The role demands a strategic professional who can provide critical insights into project accounting, revenue recognition, and financial risks while fostering a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
This position is essential for supporting executive decision‑making, managing complex financial processes, and delivering high‑impact financial leadership across the organization. The position is based at our Duquesne, PA location.
- Business partner to Finance Controller
- Provide detailed insights and comprehensive control over project finances
- Financial and strategic planning and analysis, including development and management of budget and STRAP
- Support business growth and key CAR initiatives
- Provide support for month‑end close
- Financial reporting support for all areas of financial operations
- High‑level weekly information, including business metrics
- Risks and opportunities reporting
- Cash‑from‑operations management and reporting
- Fixed‑asset accounting
- Support for financial reporting and all ERP‑related processes
- Ad‑hoc work as needed
- Treasury Management
- Manage and reconcile cash against in‑house bank accounts
- Maximize cash from operations
- Support cash‑from‑operations forecasting
- Compliance work
- Ensure SOX controls exist and are adhered to
- Audit and tax compliance
- Comply with US GAAP accounting and international reporting requirements, including customs compliance
- Implement best practices for all areas of finance and controls
- Project accounting
- Ensure compliance with revenue recognition and proper presentation of contract assets and liabilities
- Support project bid budgets and executive reviews
- Collaborate with project teams to assess risks, mitigation plans, and opportunities
- Team leadership
- Mentor and support staff members, fostering a collaborative and productive team focused on continuous improvement and efficiency
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; or five to ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and analysis, including proficiency with MS Office and ERP accounting software (Sage 300, Oracle, SAP is beneficial)
- Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Understanding of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing concepts, and production schedules
- Capable of planning and organizing work and processes; ability to self‑direct multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Analytical and reasoning ability, math skills, and good judgment for critical business decisions
- Cooperative interpersonal skills to work in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment
- Motivation to provide excellent internal and external customer service
- Proficiency with production and inventory control systems
