Material Handler - Duq

Description

Responsible for boxing/packing pillows according to ATC standards and work assignments and recording the information in ATC system. New hires or transferred employees are expected to perform this job to standard within 1 week.

• Supply production lines with components: loading hoppers with fiber, making boxes for pillows, and applying license plat to pallets.
• Pull bags and shells to the line from staging area.
• Pack and box pillows, and pack shipping cartons with finished product according to customer specifications.
• Ensure accurate carton count and affix appropriate labels onto carton.
• Scan license plates using handheld scanners and prioritize orders on operator screen, recording downtime and changeovers on operator screens.
• Keep records of fiber license plates pulled to the line.
• Follow production changeover duties between work orders.
• Use all equipment safely and report any problems to supervisor or maintenance; maintain safety for self and co‑workers.
• Handle other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to operate a pallet jack
• Basic math skills

• Ability to occasionally carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Able to ambulate or stand for a full shift (12 hours).
