Job Summary

The network growth and compliance coordinator will be part of a team who collectively manage relationships with approximately 400 partner programs – food pantries, soup kitchens, medical providers, colleges/universities, etc. – that distribute more than 36 million pounds of food each year to our neighbors in need.

The coordinator is the primary point of contact for a caseload of approximately 100 partners, building trust and engaging on a deep level to increase services to the community. The coordinator is responsible for four key areas:
1) applying a human-centered focus to improving the experience of the people we serve;
2) identifying and implementing innovative and strategic ways to build the capacity of our existing partner network and working collaboratively to address gaps in service
3) ensuring partners meet compliance policies and requirements, and
4) building trust with partners through timely and thorough communication and customer service. Timely and thorough customer service support to partners.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities Neighbor Experience, Relationship Management and Network Capacity
  • Identify and support partner’s implementation of neighbor-centered practices
  • Encourage partners to center the neighbor experience in their work
  • Identify opportunities for growth and capacity building during site visits and in conversations with partners.
  • Encourage partners to consider innovative ways of distributing food.
  • Collaborate with team and partners to implement projects that expand the capacity of the partner network
  • Plan and execute partner network meetings to share information and increase partner engagement.
  • Lead and participate in the team’s annual strategic plan goals
  • Identify gaps in service within caseload area and participate in the evaluation and onboarding of new potential partners, as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service to partners, including answering questions about compliance requirements, grants, ordering, system logins, etc.
  • Encourage partner participation in the Retail Store Donation Program, TEFAP, PA Senior Food Box Program and other programs as relevant[RS3] [EK4] [RS5]
  • Provide thoughtful feedback during impact grant review meetings.
  • Identify gaps in knowledge and/or opportunities for ongoing partner education
  • Contribute content when relevant for the Food Bank's monthly network newsletter.
  • Provide on-site food assistance to individuals and support the operation of other direct service programs, as needed and directed by the Director or Chief Programs Officer.
Network Compliance
  • Communicate and enforce all Food Bank, Feeding America, funder, government, and other key stakeholders’ policies, procedures, and standards, as required.
  • Conduct annual monitoring visits with partner programs to evaluate agency compliance and quality access to food.
  • Monitor, track and address compliance requirements (501(c)3 status, safe food handling, partnership agreements, civil rights training, monthly reporting, product use, etc.)
  • Field, investigate, resolve and record service complaints.
  • Process and record suspensions and reinstatements in accordance with suspension policy.
  • Enforce corrective action and follow-up plans for identified problems.
  • Support reporting efforts as needed by providing insight, gathering data and/or assisting in preparation of materials
  • Maintain accurate, complete and updated agency records and files.
  • Assist in grant allocations, communicate grant award to partners and ensure partners spend their grants by deadlines
  • Conduct orientations for new contacts
