Wabtec – Now Hiring Maintenance Technician

Location:

Duquesne, PA Pay Rate: $26.00 – $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

Monday – Thursday | 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM (OT on a volunteer basis | Friday and/or Saturday | 5 AM – 1 PM)

Grease, Grit & Good Pay. Maintenance Technician Wanted. You know your way around tools, machines, and tough jobs. We're hiring a Maintenance Technician who can troubleshoot, repair, and keep the shop running strong.

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Technical training, trade certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with industrial machinery, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, safety procedures, and equipment documentation
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and email communication
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and interpret technical data

Job Duties:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery, equipment, and automated systems
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in production equipment
  • Dismantle and rebuild machinery, replacing worn or defective components
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and maintain maintenance documentation
  • Install and repair electrical systems, transformers, wiring, and machine components
  • Maintain and repair piping systems, valves, gauges, regulators, and pressure systems
  • Support maintenance and inspection of overhead cranes and powered industrial equipment
  • Fabricate or repair parts using machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines
  • Perform welding, torch cutting, and metal fabrication as needed
  • Maintain facility structures, equipment, and company vehicles
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors on maintenance projects and inspections
  • Communicate maintenance updates and reports using Microsoft Office and email
