The expected ENTRY pay range for this position based on experience and equity within the Judicial Branch is $21.77 to $23.31.

This position is Non-Exempt under the FLSA.

The Court Administration Assistant provides administrative support to the Court Operations Unit in a high-volume work environment that requires the ability to multi-task, use strong organizational and communication skills to provide exemplary service, both internally and externally, ensuring that the needs of the Court are met effectively.

Position Qualifications
  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED
  • Experience:

    Two (2) years of general clerical or administrative experience OR Combined

    Education and Experience

    Qualifications:

    Post-secondary education may substitute for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of:
Principles and processes for providing customer service including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Skill in:
The use of Microsoft Office applications. Written and verbal communication with others to convey information effectively. Providing exemplary customer service. The preparation of statistical reports.

Essential Job Tasks
  • Maintain compliance with department and agency standards regarding the confidentiality of records.
  • Work closely with Commissioner Division Staff and Judicial Officers.
  • Process petitions for complex and highly confidential Juvenile case types.
  • Provide customer support to internal and external customers in person at a high-level information desk, or by email, and over the phone.
  • Ability to travel between Durango and Mesa courthouse.
  • Process fingerprint submittals.
  • Assist with National Adoption Day.
  • Create and distribute the Juvenile Detained Calendar.
  • Review and complete case reassignment requests.

    Process Petitions from Petition Filed List, from County Attorney.
  • Assist in training new and existing staff in department policies and procedures.
  • Perform general clerical duties including but not limited to photocopying, scanning, mailing, and data entry.
  • Distribute mail and copies to division mailboxes.
  • Assist with projects assigned by lead and/or supervisor.
