General Laborer / Flagger – Civil Construction Durango, Co
Native Sun is hiring General Laborers / Flaggers to support our civil construction crews on roadwork, earthwork, and underground utility projects in the Durango area. This role is ideal for field workers who want steady work, learnable skills, and a path toward higher‑skill labor or equipment operator roles.
Location: Durango CO
Starting Pay Range: $20-25 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities- Perform general labor on roadwork, earthwork, and underground utility projects, including shoveling, raking, site clean-up, and material handling.
- Assist equipment operators and pipe crews with trenching, back filling, compaction, and setting up work areas.
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices (signs, cones, barricades) and perform flagging duties to keep crews and the public safe.
- Follow directions from foremen and lead workers, communicate clearly with crew members, and work safely around live traffic and heavy equipment in all weather conditions.
- Support safe, clean, and organized jobsites and help with other tasks as needed to keep production moving.
- Previous construction, roadwork, or civil labor experience preferred; traffic control or flagger experience is a plus but not required (we can help the right candidate get certified).
- Comfortable working outdoors all day, lifting 50+ lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in all weather conditions.
- Safety-minded, able to work around heavy equipment and traffic while following all work zone and jobsite safety rules.
- Reliable, strong work ethic, and a team‑first attitude; willing to work overtime and travel locally as needed.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation to Grand Junction‑area jobsites, and authorization to work in the U.S.
