Production Audio Supervisor– Harry Potter: A Hogwart's Express™ Train Ride

Division: Rail Events Productions

Compensation: $28.00/hour

Job Summary: The Production Audio Supervisor works with the Sound Designer and production team during pre-production and all event load-ins to design and install all audio systems in accordance railroad safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with the Sound Designer, Production Managers and production staff to oversee prep, install, and maintenance of audio systems
  • Support and train the local crew operators and production team throughout the run of the event in the case of system problems or necessary troubleshooting
  • Oversee all shop prep of equipment to create working sound systems based on the designer’s specifications
  • Create all necessary documentation for onsite audio crews to load in audio equipment
  • Specify and plan all necessary details of the sound design to create a working system
  • Oversee all shop prep of audio equipment
  • Manage the Assistant Production Audio Supervisors who will provide support at load-in of events
  • Be available throughout the run of events to answer questions and supervise the operation of audio systems
  • Work with the production staff during load out to see that event space is returned appropriately
  • Responsible for seeing that the audio systems are maintained with artistic integrity through the event
  • Work with the production staff during technical rehearsals to incorporate last minute changes
  • Communicate regularly with REP staff with regards to creative and practical ideas and decisions as well as project statuses
  • Become knowledgeable with all of the REP policies and procedures as well as the REP-owned assets and equipment
  • Become familiar with railroad safety rules
  • Work with the entire event team to maintain a positive, enjoyable, and rewarding environment for all staff and guests
  • Other duties as assigned
Education, Skill & Work Experience Requirements
  • Experience as a theatrical technician, specifically a Production Audio Supervisor
  • Experience with Dante.

    NOTE:

    Level 1 certification of Audinate Dante required prior to start of employment
  • Experience with RF systems and Wireless Workbench
  • Experience with QSC Q-SYS software.

    NOTE:

    Level 1 certification of Q-SYS required prior to start of employment
  • Experience with computer networking hardware and software
  • Ability to work alongside the production staff as a team member in an ever-changing environment
  • Ability to work independently with self‑motivation and attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate, recognize and solve practical problems and resolve issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form
