Description
This contract, on-site position offers an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide comprehensive urological care in a well-established clinical environment. As a Locum Urology Physician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care while maintaining continuity of service within the medical practice.
In this role, you will diagnose and treat a wide range of urological conditions, perform necessary procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. You will contribute directly to patient outcomes and the overall success of the practice by applying your clinical expertise in urology. The position requires a commitment to evidence-based medicine, patient-centered care, and effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat patients with urological conditions and disorders
- Perform urological examinations, procedures, and surgeries as required
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory studies
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with best practices
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation
- Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
- Provide patient education on urological health and treatment options
- Ensure compliance with medical regulations and clinical standards
- Participate in on-call coverage and emergency consultations as needed
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical medical practices
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Durango
- Board certification or eligibility in Urology
- Associate-level experience in urology practice or residency completion
- Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and treating urological conditions
- Proficiency in performing urological procedures and surgeries
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and staff
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to work on-site and fulfill locum contract requirements

Schedule:
24-hour call, 7a-7a
Duties:
Urology needs over the phone or in person, surgeries if required, and rounding on patients

Must be board-certified
