Position: Long Term Substitute - Wood, Tech, and Maker Space Teacher Miller Middle School, Spring Semester
Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for a Long Term Substitute Wood, Tech, and Maker Space Teacher at Miller Middle School for the Spring Semester of the 25/26 school year. This position will begin approximately March 1, 2026 and run through the end of the school year, May 26, 2026.

A Colorado substitute authorization or teaching license is required. Experience in the areas of Woodshop, Tech, and Maker Space prefered.

The rate for long-term substituting is $265 per day.

Requirements include:

* Valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license. A 3- or 5-year Colorado substitute authorization may also accepted for a candidate with demonstrated Math proficiency as outlined above. Contact Colorado Department of Education at  to apply for a substitute license or a teaching license.

* Experience working with students in a classroom setting strongly preferred.

* Strong interpersonal communication, basic language, basic math, and basic writing skills.

* Minimum of two professional or academic references; family/friends are not categorized as professional or academic references.
