This is a one year full-time visiting instructor position in the Department of Psychology beginning August 2026.
Job Description:
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
* Teaching 24 credit hours per year (8 courses; 4 courses per semester) across a wide range of psychology topics
* Hold office hours
* Collaborate with other faculty teaching common courses
* Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
* Maintain knowledge and awareness of digital accessibility including the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 508.
* Produce and remediate digitally accessible materials in accordance with FLC standards.
* Perform other duties as assigned
Required Education, Specialized
Skills and Experience:
* Undergraduate Degree from Fort Lewis College
* Doctorate or Masters in Psychology from an APA accredited program, completed by July 2026
Preferred Education, Specialized
Skills and Experience:
* Demonstrated success and training teaching undergraduate students in psychology
* Experience or demonstrated interest in teaching a diverse student population
* Area of specialization is open, but the ability to teach introductory courses, research methods, social, and/or developmental coursework are desirable

* Monday-Friday 9AM to 5PM.
Compensation
Salary is $49,000 for MA and $54,000 for PhD , plus a comprehensive benefits package.
