Position Summary
This is a visiting faculty position for Computer Information Systems (CIS) in the Katz School of Business at Fort Lewis College. This position will consist of teaching up to eight classes in the Computer Information Systems area.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Teach up to four courses per semester in the Katz School of Business in the CIS area during Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
- Potentially contribute to AI special topics assignments.
- Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
- Maintains knowledge and awareness of digital accessibility including the American with Disabilities Act and Section 508.
- Produces and remediates digitally accessible materials in accordance with FLC standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- PhD/DBA in CIS or a related field. Candidates who are ABD with a promise of degree completion within one academic year will be considered.
- Demonstrated teaching excellence in the field of CIS.
The successful candidate will be required to submit original, official college transcripts, and pass a background check.

- PhD/DBA from an AACSB accredited business school or PhD from an ABET accredited engineering school
- Knowledge and experience in AI is preferred as potential for AI work within the Katz School may be a possibility
- Work experience in the CIS Field
- Demonstrated record of scholarship
- Demonstrated success of working in a diverse environment
- Ability to teach other business classes as needed.
This position reports to the Associate Dean, Katz School of Business.

FLSA Status / Position Type / Expected Hours of WorkExempt. Full Time and FTE 1.0. Temporary. FY 2026-27. Work hours are flexible but should fit within a standard work week. Employees must be present on campus for class, tutoring and meeting times, but have flexibility for grading and preparation.
CompensationSalary is $71,500, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
