The Grub Hub Operations Coordinator is a critical member of our team and the core steward of the resource center's mission-centered approach. In addition to delivering direct services, the Grub Hub Operations Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and coordinating our space's team of student staff and rotating interns/volunteers, and supporting patrons to help us effectively move towards our goal to create a basic needs secure campus.
Their day-to-day work includes building and maintaining strategic partnerships on campus and in the community, managing the Grub Hub's staff, facilitating the development of professional skills in our student staff and partners, monitoring outcomes and supportive strategies, and coordinating resources and accountability. The Grub Hub Operations Coordinator reports to the Basic Needs Coordinator and is part of the Office of Student Well-being.
Job Description:
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
* Design, implement, and evaluate basic needs programs and activities to support the basic needs of students in collaboration with professional staff, faculty, and students alongside the Student Well-being team
* Coordinate, facilitate and/or arrange facilitation of campus-wide SWB initiatives, trainings, and workshops regularly throughout the academic year in a supportive capacity alongside the Student Well-being Coordinator
* Schedule and share information about upcoming classes, trainings, and workshops with the campus community (staff, faculty, and students) alongside the Student Well-being team
* Research and implement best practices for basic needs according to community needs, including engaging in personal professional development and improving institutional standards and metrics around student well-being work to assess and ensure campus practices hit strategic and national targets
* Work closely with both off-campus partners and on campus resources, such as the Student Involvement Center, Housing, and Academic Affairs, on the coordination and enhancement of programs and services
* Oversee and support student staff in developing interpersonal and professional skills; design and facilitate monthly meetings to accomplish the Grub Hub's stated goals
* Oversee social media & events manager in development of outreach tools and communication strategies and event presence
* Ensure staff efforts and projects align with stated values and goals
* Convene a student advisory board quarterly to assist in making the space one reflective of student's needs and desires
* Work closely with the Basic Needs Coordinator to develop and manage the annual budget and craft reports to demonstrate resource flow
* Support securing funding through grants, donations, and partnerships; actively seek new and diverse funding opportunities.
* Cultivate relationships with diverse campus and community partners, and coordinate with partners to correctly communicate our efforts and resources
* Represent Grub Hub and student interests in community spaces and coalitions
* Use shared measurement systems to evaluate and track progress, and share out in an annual report
* Maintains knowledge and awareness of digital accessibility including the American with Disabilities Act and Section 508.
* Produces and remediates digitally accessible materials in accordance with FLC standards.
* Perform other duties as assigned
Required Education, Specialized
Skills and Experience:
* Bachelor's in social work, sociology, psychology or other relevant field, or 4 years of equivalent experience
* At least one year of relevant experience providing support services in areas of food equity, social justice, trauma-informed care or advocacy
* Proven success in budget management
* Experience with Microsoft programs.
* Experience working with diverse populations.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and motivate community members, students, and donors.
Preferred Education, Specialized
Skills and Experience:
* A track record of leading, inspiring, and developing high-performance programs and teams.
* Strong ability to develop and manage partnerships with community organizations, businesses, government agencies, donors, and other stakeholders.
* Proficiency in data analysis and evaluation to monitor progress, identify challenges, and recommend improvements.
* Ability to streamline internal operations and manage multiple initiatives.
* Ability to navigate complex systems and advocate for student needs, both vocalized and data driven, to key stakeholders.
* Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and schedules simultaneously.
* Collaborative, with a strong commitment to shared ownership of initiatives and goals.
* Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity; the ability to thrive in a fluid environment.
* Willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and support resource center staff beyond formal responsibilities based on the needs of our patrons.
