Assistant Volleyball Coach
Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for Assistant Volleyball Coach at Miller Middle School. This coaching position involves instructing middle school students (grades 7 and
8) in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training of volleyball. We are a member of the San Juan Basin Middle School League. Position begins August 2026-October 2026.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of effective coaching practices/techniques of volleyball
- Ability to build rapport with middle school students
- Ability to build individual and team character and confidence
- Ability to relate to students of varying athletic abilities
- Ability to conduct oneself in an ethical and exemplary manner at all times
- Ability to work positively and communicate effectively with coaches, staff, parents and administration
