Job DescriptionSGM is seeking a full-time experienced Survey Project Manager to join our Survey Team in Glenwood Springs, Meeker, Durango, and/or Gunnison, Colorado office. The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills and experience in the following areas: boundary, easement, right of ways, topo surveys, design surveys, aerial mapping, construction layout, survey crew management, and client communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to live, work and play in Western Colorado.

- Coordinate with the client, the client’s representative, and contractors
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules
- Produce competitive proposals
- Review project budgets and invoices
- Supervise and direct field surveyors and office drafters
- Ensure team is properly equipped with personal protection equipment and following safety protocol
- Manage survey projects from start to finish with minimal oversight
- Attend meetings with project team
- Provide QA/QC to other PLS and Project managers
- Follow local state and federal survey regulations

Professional Land Surveyor I: 12-22 years: $93,700-$119,000
Professional Land Surveyor II/III: 17-33 years: $115,800- $148,800
Job Requirements Qualifications- 10+ years of land surveying experience
- Strong communication skills with clients and internal staff members
- Ability to lead field surveyors and drafters
- Advanced understanding of coordinate systems and vertical datums
- Advanced knowledge of CAD Software
- Advanced ability to research property boundaries, easements, and other documents of record
- Ability to work independently or as part of a crew
- Motivated problem solver
Preferred Qualifications
- GIS experience
- Trimble software and hardware experience
- Diverse surveying experience including boundary retracement, construction staking, topographic mapping, and legal description preparation
