Agile Space Industries is seeking a skilled Propulsion Test Technician I/II to support propulsion test operations at our Durango, Colorado test facility. In this role, you will assist in the assembly, operation, maintenance, and modification of propulsion test stands and supporting infrastructure used for spacecraft thruster and engine testing.
Test technicians work closely with engineers and fellow technicians to safely prepare, operate, and maintain complex test systems involving pressurized fluids, cryogenic systems, instrumentation, and propulsion hardware. Your work will directly support the development and qualification of propulsion systems used for space exploration.

Responsibilities- Support daily propulsion test operations including test stand preparation, hardware installation, and test execution
- Propellant feed systems and fluid tubing
- Helium and nitrogen pressurization systems
- Cryogenic systems including liquid nitrogen vaporization
- Mechanical test fixtures and support hardware
- Test instrumentation and data acquisition hardware
- Install and remove propulsion hardware from test stands including thrusters, valves, and associated hardware
- Support propellant loading operations and associated safety procedures
- Perform decontamination of propulsion hardware and fluid systems following testing
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of test stand infrastructure
- Assist in the fabrication and modification of test stand components and ground support equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed including maintenance logs, procedures, and test support activities
- Follow established procedures, specifications, and test instructions
- Work safely around pressurized systems, hazardous fluids, cryogens, and high‑energy test environments
- Maintain strong situational awareness and adherence to safety protocols during testing operations
- Support quality and compliance by following all procedures, work instructions, and documentation requirements under the company Quality Management System (QMS)
- Work independently and collaboratively with engineers and technicians to ensure efficient test operations
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Hands‑on mechanical or technical experience working with tools, mechanical systems, or industrial equipment
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings, schematics, procedures, and work instructions
- Comfortable working around hazardous fluids, pressurized systems, and high‑risk test environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills when coordinating with engineers and technicians
- Dependable, self‑directed, and capable of working in a fast‑paced environment
- Ability to lift equipment and perform physically active work in an outdoor test facility environment
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in aerospace, mechanical, electric
