Professional Engineer , Major Projects Construction Lead - Durango

Professional Engineer I leading major transportation construction projects for Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) Region 5 in Durango. The role involves managing large, complex projects under construction, administering contracts, overseeing inspections and quality assurance, and serving as the Chief Engineer's authorized representative. • Manage large, complex transportation construction projects under construction for CDOT Region 5 in Durango.
• Administer contracts and oversee inspections and quality assurance.
• Serve as the Chief Engineer's authorized representative.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and government agencies.
• Mentor junior staff on transportation infrastructure projects.

• Current, valid Professional Engineer license from Colorado or another U.S. state.
• 3–5 years of civil or transportation engineering design and/or construction experience.
• Knowledge of standard and alternative project delivery methods.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and projects in a demanding environment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with CDOT manuals, AASHTO guides, and relevant design standards.
