This position is responsible for promoting EHS awareness and compliance throughout the organization to all employees. This position will lead multiple programs which help ensure worker safety, and environmental, and regulatory compliance for the Growth Fund and its business enterprises. This position will develop, execute, and train EHS programs and initiatives; lead environmental and safety compliance and remediation projects, within one or more disciplines:
Clean Water Act (CWA);
National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA);
Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures;
Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, etc.

Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biological Science, Physical Science, Engineering or related discipline and ten years’ experience in environmental, health and safety, five years of which must be in the oil, gas, or energy industry;

OR

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biological Science, Physical Science, Engineering or related discipline and twelve years’ experience in environmental, health and safety, six years of which must be in the oil, gas, or energy industry is required.
  • Must have a current Safety Management Systems Certification from American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP).
  • Must have an environmental compliance certification such as EPA’s Construction General Permit Site Inspector Training or EPA’s SPCC for Tribal Partners.
  • Must understand and interpret major EHS regulatory programs and explain their purpose (i.e., OSHA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, NEPA, SPCC, RCRA, ESA, etc.).
  • Must have a working knowledge of PPE, basic safety procedures, and field safety and environmental equipment.
  • Must have experience with environmental permit interpretation, compliance, and reporting.
  • Must have field experience inspecting and reporting safety hazards and environmental non-compliance.
  • Must have experience with managing SPCC programs, SWPP programs, and/or environmental remediation projects, to include plan preparation.

The position closes at 5:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time on August 28th, 2026.
