The City of Durango invites applicants for Police Officer Trainee. You will attend the Southwest Regional Law Enforcement Academy in January 2027 and work toward Peace Officer Standards and Testing (P.O.S.T.) certification with the Durango Police Department.
As a trainee, you will complete academy training, learn department policies, and develop skills in criminal law, patrol techniques, radio procedures, first aid, CPR, and the Spillman records system.
