American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a Level I Trauma acute care hospital.
Details- Acute care hospital setting in the General Radiology / X-Ray department
- Level I Trauma facility with an in-house radiologist
- Department consists of 4 imaging rooms
- Patient population includes ED, outpatient, and inpatient cases
- Average of 20–30 studies per day
- Procedures include fluoroscopy, general X-ray, C-arm, and portable imaging
- GE equipment used throughout the department
- EMR:
Epic; PACS:
Fuji Synapse - Night shifts: 12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, alternating between 3 and 4 shifts per week
- Day shift option also available: 10-hour shifts with variable start times of 6:00, 7:00, 7:30, or 8:00 AM
- Weekend availability required
- No holiday coverage required
- Call/on-call only if ever needed
- No floating to other departments required
- Minimum of 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience
- Active ARRT (R) certification required — pending certifications not accepted
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required — pending certifications not accepted
- Proficiency with fluoroscopy, general X-ray, C-arm, and portable imaging required
- Experience with Epic EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS preferred
- Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable — pending licenses not accepted
- Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility
- A valid driver's license is required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Perform general X-ray, fluoroscopy, C-arm, and portable imaging studies across ED, inpatient, and outpatient settings
- A radiation badge must be provided by American Traveler for this position
- No radiology supervisor or lead tech on-site; in-house radiologist available
- Department-specific orientation provided; clinicians must be on-site for the full orientation week, even if initial modules are completed remotely
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any Common Spirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible — candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
- Scrubs are not provided; professional-colored scrubs are required
- An interview with the unit manager is part of the hiring process
