Dental Assistant – Full Time – Durango Integrated Healthcare – Durango, CO

The Dental Assistant is a member of the multi-disciplinary oral health care team with responsibility for patient exam and procedure preparation and assisting within the scope of practice of a dental assistant.

Our ideal candidate for our Dental Assistant position will have their high school degree or equivalent.

Salary:
Starting pay is $20.00 – $22.05 per hour (Calculation based on hourly rate of $17.50 + $2.50 Locale Differential). Compensation considers preferred experience and preferred education as described above. There is a locale differential at our Durango worksites.

• Considerable knowledge and skill obtained through experience and/or training to be able to provide appropriate care to all clinic patients.
• Advanced knowledge of dental record keeping practices including documentation in an electronic health/dental record.
• Ability to exercise considerable judgment, to recognize problems outside of this role and refer appropriately.

• Physical capability to interact with others and perform mobility requirements of the position
• Knowledge and ability to operate standard office equipment including scanner, computer.
• Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and ability to access the internet.
