RN: NICU

Job Description:

Join a Level II NICU team in Durango, Colorado, for a 13-week travel assignment providing specialized neonatal care during 12-hour night shifts. You will be responsible for managing neonates with diagnoses like TTN, RDS, hyperbilirubinemia, and hypoglycemia, often taking on couplet duties with postpartum mothers and their babies at a patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3. This role involves using Vents, BiPAP, and HHFNC equipment, with in-house NNPs and telehealth neonatologists available for support.

You’ll perform bedside assessments, participate in deliveries, and adhere to acuity standards, with an emphasis on teamwork within a NICU that features six beds plus overflow capabilities. The unit maintains a professional dress code, with a focus on high-quality neonatal care and collaboration with nurse aides and charge nurses. Weekend and holiday shifts are required, with rotatable call and standby duties, and floating to other departments as needed.
