Team Up - Youth Mental Health Corps Member

team up americorps places americorps members at organizations throughout southwest colorado. Through collaborative service, team up americorps members develop their own professional skills and passions, expand the effectiveness of southwest colorado organizations, and ultimately support people to thrive. Each member serves directly at a non‑profit, school, or government agency called their host site. Members serving at different host sites are part of the team up americorps cohort;

the cohort meets periodically to connect, learn, and build community together. Members are placed at host sites based on their specific skills and interests, as well as their desired location of service. We have both full‑time and part‑time positions in a variety of focus areas. All positions require a motivated individual that is committed to improving the well‑being of community members in beautiful southwest colorado.

Position focus areas include, but are not limited to: youth development, restorative justice, immigrant resource navigation, economic mobility, housing security, social emotional learning, and early childhood education. • must be enrolled in or entering graduate‑level studies in social work or counseling (msw or lpc candidates).
• support rainbow youth center attendees through individual therapy, youth programming (clubs, field trips, events), case management, and crisis advocacy.
• facilitate crime victim services programs, serve on a multidisciplinary crisis team, and complete graduate‑level internship requirements.
• record data tracking, ensure mandatory reporting compliance, practice trauma‑informed approaches, and participate in team up regional trainings and days of service.
• show self‑motivation, cultural awareness, compassion, and commitment to serving the lgbtq+ youth community.
