Responsibilities
Coral Shores Behavioral Hospital is an 80-bed behavioral health facility located in Stuart, FL, and provides inpatient treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults. Our professional staff individualizes care to uniquely fit the intensity and severity of each patient case and their family's needs. Because crisis occurs at all times of the day and night, our services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Infection Control Nurse I is responsible for the facility Infection Control Plan, coordinating the activities related to the health of staff such as PPD, Hep B and other immunizations/tests; ensures the education of infectious disease prevention; tracks and monitors reported infection; ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements related to infection prevention; acts as liaison with Department of Health officials.

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Experience: 2 - 3 years of infection control nursing experience in an in-patient setting preferred
Training: BLS; APIC certification (or actively working towards the certification)
Licensure: Currently licensed in the state of Florida
Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required
