RN-Nurse Practitioner - LV Durango Family Med Cl - Per Diem; Non-Exempt; Non-Union

Essential Duties

• Conduct in-depth patient interviews and develop comprehensive medical histories.
• Perform initial and periodic physical examinations and interpret diagnostic studies.
• Diagnose and treat patients’ diseases, including managing hospitalized patients.
• Develop and implement long‑term and short‑term treatment plans.
• Perform procedures such as specimen collection, injections, immunizations, lumbar punctures, skin biopsies, suturing, and wound care.
• Write medication orders subject to physician counter‑signing and dosage controls.
• Initiate consultations and monitor scheduling of special tests.
• Provide patient and family counseling on preventive care, medical problems, therapeutic options, and controlled substances.
• Liaise with governmental agencies (e.g., CDC, NIH) and facilitate research protocols.
• Maintain compliance with university policies, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in in‑service education programs and professional associations.

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 5 years combined clinical nursing experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Knowledge of medical procedures and ability to perform duties successfully.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the CA Board of Registered Nursing.
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) license issued by the CA Board of Registered Nursing.
• Nurse Practitioner Furnisher (NP) license issued by CA DCA.
• DEA Certificate for Schedule II–V controlled substances.
• National Board Certification in NP specialty area (ABSNC or NCCA).
• For acute‑care settings: ACNP or AGACNP certification (unless grandfathered from before 12/2015).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) obtained within 30 days of hire.

• NP specialized certification: ACNP, ANP, FNP, or AGNP.
• DEA Certificate with Nevada address.
• Nevada Board of Pharmacy license.
• NV State Board RN license.
• USC Credentialing within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

The hourly rate range for this position is $64.00 – $105.60.
