Position Summary
Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for patients via the Walk In Clinic. Consult with care teams, monitor treatment response, order labs, initiate MAT protocols, refer to higher levels of care, and perform related patient care activities as indicated.
Qualifications- Master’s Degree – PMHNP
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- Active RN, APRN, and RXN licenses in Colorado
- Board certification: PMHNP through ANCC or AANP
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Formal training in area of specialization; additional practice experience desirable or required by the sponsoring physician
$ – $ annualized; higher pay for preferred experience.

Occasional lifting/moving of up to 25 pounds. Frequent walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, occasional climbing/balancing, stooping. Ability to sit for extended periods vel between Axis Health System locations required. Possible exposure to communicable disease. Moderate work environment noise level. Required Skills- Competent in psychopharmacology
- Knowledgeable in evaluation and treatment of patients with psychiatric symptoms
- Experienced with providing Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
- Comfortable in an urgent care environment with multiple daily psychiatric evaluations
- Excellent de-escalation skills and teamwork capability
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external customers
- Proficient with EMR and related systems
- Organize and prioritize workload in a hectic environment with frequent interruptions
- Current driver’s license with a clean driving record for commercial insurance eligibility
- Adherence to confidentiality and security rules
- Annual flu immunization

- De-escalation training within 90 days of hire
