Required Qualifications
  • One year of recent experience as an ER RN
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
  • Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
  • Current PALS or ENPC certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP and SANE certifications
  • Other certifications or licenses as required
Essential Work Functions
  • Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity.
  • Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved protocols.
  • Prepare equipment and aid physicians during treatments and examinations.
  • Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout their time in the ER, responding to immediate needs.
  • Observe and document patient conditions as required within scope of practice.
  • Take and monitor vital signs, addressing deviations to prevent complications.
  • Respond to life‑saving situations per nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR.
  • Initiate patient education plans as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, paramedics, social workers, and other staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
  • Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Required Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking and service excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills; ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Proficient reading of written and verbal instructions and PC skills.
  • Physical stamina to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
  • Work effectively with diverse personnel, presenting a positive attitude and professionalism.
  • Fine manipulation and motor skills for procedures and equipment use.
  • Mental resilience under pressure, ability to work with close supervision or independently, handle irregular schedules, and maintain focus on details.
  • Visual acuity and effective communication ability.
