Job TitleRegistered Nurse – NICU (Level II)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) | Onsite | Block Scheduling
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients including diagnoses such as TTN, RDS, feeder growers, hyperbilirubinemia, and hypoglycemia in a Level II NICU setting with up to 8 beds
- Attend deliveries and provide immediate newborn assessment and stabilization as needed
- Manage couplet care assignments (postpartum mother and baby) at up to a 1:3 ratio per AWHONN acuity standards
- Operate and monitor respiratory equipment including ventilators, BCPAP, and HHFNC devices; manage general IV fluids such as TPN and dextrose
- Participate in charge nurse coverage with patient assignment, call and standby rotations, and floating to other departments as required by hospital policy
- Adhere to weekend and holiday requirements within a 6-week block scheduling rotation
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado
- Current BLS, STABLE, and NRP certifications required
- Experience in a NICU setting with the ability to manage couplet care assignments
- Ability to work night shifts and meet weekend and holiday requirements
- Must be available and present in-state for the full week of unit orientation
- Prior experience in a Level II NICU environment with exposure to common neonatal diagnoses and respiratory support equipment
- Familiarity with AWHONN acuity-based staffing standards and postpartum couplet care
- Experience attending deliveries and supporting neonatal stabilization prior to transport
- Work in a collaborative NICU environment supported by NNPs available 24/7 and neonatology accessible via telehealth
- Unit-specific orientation provided to set you up for success from day one
