We’re looking for a Lineman I Telecom to join our team and help connect America. The Lineman I Telecom will perform aerial cable installation procedures and techniques, including the placement of poles and anchors.

- Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable
- Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and more
- Safely operate mechanized equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, and more
- Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers
- Flag traffic when required
- Understand separation and clearance regulations
- Safely work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders
- Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations, procedures and policies
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
- Valid state driver's license (cannot be provisional), including an acceptable driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening
- Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed
- May be required to work overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies, or be on-call as work is needed to ensure completion
- May include working nights and holidays as needed
- May be required to travel in state or overnight as necessary to meet business and job requirements
- Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position
- Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry
- Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques
- Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet
- Ability to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction)
- Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance
- Must know the color code system for cable pairs or be willing to learn
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Possesses strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work with internal and external customers
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with product vendors and customers

- The noise level in the work environment for this position is moderate
- Employees are regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, rain, snow, sleet, dust, and adverse driving conditions such as wet, icy roads, and fog

- Employees may be exposed to toxic or corrosive chemicals, moving machinery parts, and pieces
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus near and/or far as needed
The Lineman I Telecom hourly wage range is $25.00 – $30.00, depending on experience.
