Job Shift: Day

General Purpose

The Facility Maintenance Technician/Pool tech will perform preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure safe and accessible use of all condominium and resort facilities. This position will perform daily service and chemical testing on pools and hot tubs. As a pool tech you will be trained and will receive a CPO certification. This is a full‑time, year‑round position and will remain open until filled.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Open pools and hot tubs, check chemicals, fill and clean as needed.
  • Inspect and repair residences, commercial spaces and restaurants as necessary.
  • Perform repairs as detailed on work orders.
  • Discuss and plan work orders with the supervisor ensuring safe and efficient execution.
  • Create and maintain records of time and materials used.
  • Control material inventory, restocking as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively within the Engineering Department and with other departments regarding progress of work orders and outstanding maintenance issues.
  • Maintain tools in a neat and organized fashion, ensuring proper storage at the end of the shift.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
  • Ensure quality repairs are performed safely and efficiently.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.
  • May have to work weekend schedules.
Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge and skills of hand and power tools and their safe use.
  • Pool and hot tub knowledge is not required but helpful.
  • Basic construction skills.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Use of a multimeter.
  • Must be a self‑starter with the ability to find creative solutions to problems.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; college or technical trade school a plus.
  • Experience in maintenance helpful but not required.
Working Environment & Physical Demands
  • May work indoors and/or outdoors in inclement weather.
  • Work may involve crawling, squatting, reaching, laying, standing on a ladder and reaching over your head, moving residential and commercial appliances into place.
  • May be required to lift up to 75 pounds.
Materials and Equipment Used

Hand tools and electrical/battery powered tools including drill, saw, sander, electric drain cleaner, etc.
