WHY THIS ROLE EXISTSStone Age customers depend on orders being fulfilled safely, accurately, and on time. This role exists to lead the people, processes, and daily execution that make that commitment possible.
The Order Fulfillment Supervisor ensures materials and customer orders move efficiently through shipping, receiving, inventory control, manufacturing support, and warehouse operations. Through clear leadership, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement, this position strengthens inventory accuracy, operational performance, and the overall customer experience.

You communicate priorities clearly, balance changing demands, and make sound decisions when operational challenges arise. You use data and root-cause analysis to solve problems and prevent recurrence rather than relying on temporary fixes.
You are equally comfortable coaching a team member, reviewing performance metrics, resolving an inventory discrepancy, or coordinating across departments to protect a customer commitment. You lead with professionalism, emotional maturity, and consistency.

WHAT YOU OWN Team Leadership and DevelopmentYou build a capable, accountable, and flexible Order Fulfillment team.
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, training, and performance management for Order Fulfillment Team Members.
- Lead daily stand-ups that establish priorities, communicate business needs, and align the team around performance expectations.
- Conduct regular OWN IT Chats, development discussions, and performance documentation.
- Ensure appropriate staffing and balance workloads across fulfillment functions.
- Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training activities.
- Identify skill gaps and develop cross-training plans that increase team capability and coverage.
- Create an environment grounded in safety, teamwork, accountability, trust, and continuous improvement.
- Address performance concerns promptly, constructively, and consistently.
You ensure daily fulfillment operations are organized, responsive, and aligned with customer commitments.
- Direct daily shipping, receiving, inventory control, manufacturing support, and warehouse activities.
- Coordinate labor and resources in response to changing priorities and business demands.
- Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.
- Monitor shipping schedules, carrier deadlines, and operational constraints.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for shipping issues, receiving concerns, inventory discrepancies, and other disruptions.
- Lead timely problem-solving efforts and communicate risks or delays to affected partners.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Provide hands‑on support and backup for critical fulfillment functions when necessary.
You protect the accuracy and integrity of Stone Age’s inventory.
- Lead cycle-counting, reconciliation, and physical inventory activities.
