• Maintain a basic knowledge of all First United Bank products, services, procedures, policies and relevant regulatory issues (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Privacy, Fair Lending, Regulation
  
  E).
• Follow proper procedures accurately and efficiently for all customer‑servicing activities.
• Retain existing customers and develop new customer relationships.
• Serve as the customer’s single point of contact on all First United Bank products and services.
• Consistently meet and often exceed performance goals and actively participate in all sales campaigns; promote new products and services and educate customers and peers.
• Participate in all meetings, bank functions, customer appreciation/community events as requested or assigned by supervisor.
• Consistently meet customer service expectations by offering excellent service, greeting customers, smiling, using their name and building rapport to generate loyalty.
• Identify and match customer product needs by interviewing customers and discussing their financial needs; make referrals to other staff as necessary.
• Open new accounts, certificates of deposit, and other ancillary products; answer customer questions and complete proper paperwork on the computer system.
• Assist customers with routine questions and requests (balance inquiries, temporary statements, check copies, stop payments, holds, online banking, ACH, funds transfer, direct deposit, wire processing, coin processing, notary services, privacy).
• Process a variety of transactions quickly with minimal errors according to established policies (checks, money orders, savings bonds, traveler’s checks, cashier’s checks, loan payments).
• Maintain appropriate drawer limits, perform cash verifications and vault duties; verify transactions, place holds, and prove cash drawer to ensure compliance.
• Resolve customer complaints, problems, or other issues proactively; review and resolve account issues listed in insufficient and exception reports.
• Perform security functions by opening and closing the bank and vault and ensuring overall safety and security of bank grounds.

• High School Diploma (strongly preferred); some college (strongly preferred).
• One year of retail experience preferred; cash handling experience preferred.
• Superior customer service skills required.
• Basic mathematics for problem solving.
• Exact or highly accurate with daily work.
• Effective reading, writing, and verbal communication with customers and co‑workers.
• Time‑management skills and ability to work independently.
• Good judgment and decision‑making skills.
• Critical thinking to identify solutions and conclusions.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• Maintains a professional attitude and appearance; behaves ethically.
• Active listening: gives full attention, asks questions.
