Deposit Operations Specialist I - ACH
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the origination and receiving of ACH files, processing electronic transactions, and completing daily ACH tasks accurately and within the guidelines outlined in policies, procedures, and SLAs.
- Process daily incoming ACH files
- Process daily outgoing ACH files
- Balance ACH files
- Set and maintain Treasury Management ACH originator
- Process ACH reversals
- Process ACH returns and corrections
- Process ACH auto transfers
- Handle ACH disputes and review exceptions due to Risk Fraud Analysis
- Work on reclamations as received and deceased customer maintenance
- Assist community bank personnel with ACH transaction research
- Perform other duties requested by Management
- Complete all required compliance exams on a yearly basis
- Adhere to First United policies and procedures
- Dress professionally

Education and Work Experience- High School diploma or GED required
- Two years of banking experience preferred
- One year of electronic processing experience preferred
- Excellent computer skills; experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel required
- Excellent customer service skills in written, verbal, and nonverbal communication
- Demonstrates resourcefulness, initiative, and ability to complete projects
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
- Dependable and adheres to timelines and schedules
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of people
- Handles situations professionally and welcomes additional responsibilities
