Overview

Relationship Banker I - Part Time at First United Bank. The role involves serving as the primary point of contact for customers, understanding their needs, matching those needs with bank products and services, and building lasting relationships. The position requires a positive attitude, precision, and adherence to policies and regulatory standards.

• Maintain knowledge of First United Bank products, services, procedures, policies, and regulatory issues related to daily duties (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy; Fair Lending; Regulation
  
  E).
• Serve as the customer’s single point of contact for First United Bank products and services; open accounts and ancillary products as needed; provide information and complete required paperwork accurately.
• Meet or exceed performance goals and participate in sales campaigns; promote new products and educate customers and peers.
• Attend meetings, bank functions, and community events as requested; build rapport and customer loyalty.
• Identify customer needs and refer to appropriate staff or departments to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with routine banking needs (balances, statements, stop payments, online banking, ACH, funds transfers, wire processing, notary, etc.).
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently; manage cash drawer, drawer limits, and vault duties in compliance with policies.
• Resolve customer issues and discrepancies; handle account issues and assist with repayment plans when needed.
• Perform security tasks and ensure safety of bank facilities.
• Master the Primary Purpose and Essential duties of the Relationship Banker I position.

• High School Diploma strongly preferred; some college strongly preferred.
• One year of retail experience preferred; cash handling experience preferred.
• Superior customer service skills; basic math and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to manage time, work independently, exercise good judgment, and multi-task.
