Hunter offers $21.25 as the starting rate with opportunities for advancement in level and pay. This position is for our 1st shift (7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday)

As a Material Handler
, you will receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products within the plant floor areas.

What You'll Do:

• Observes and follows all safety rules
• Must be willing and able to work overtime as an extension to a normal workday or on weekends, as scheduled
• Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints
• Audit production parts to maintain adequate stock to fulfill production needs
• Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners
• Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce a close fit between parts
• Operates hand tools or portable power tools to assist in the assembly operation
• May be required to work at different stations as production needs warrant
• Operate overhead hoist to maneuver material
• Operate forklift to move products throughout the plant
• Operate hand tools to assemble products
• Operate power pallet jacks throughout the plant
• Operate manual pallet jacks throughout the plant
• Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:

• High school diploma or GED is required and 3 months of related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, motorized pallet jacks, or manual pallet jacks
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers
