American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Labor & Delivery Nights position requiring 3+ years of experience and BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.

• Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with 6 LDR beds
• Cares for patients in pregnancy over 20 weeks, labor, and antepartum stages
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 2:1
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a
• Floating required to postpartum or nursery units
• No call requirements
• 13-week assignment

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Active driver's license required for consideration
• US Social Security Number required;
  Canadian SIN not accepted

• Provide nursing care throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care
• Utilize the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrate critical thinking and leadership in anticipating and planning safe patient care delivery
• Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
• Maintenance of clinical competencies through continuing education expected
• Scrubs provided or maroon color required
• 48-hour guaranteed schedules cannot be accommodated
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
• RTO requests must be less than one week
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
