Position Summary
This role focuses on leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and listening to associates while touring stores and providing feedback. You will communicate and collaborate at all levels to showcase store operations, utilize technology, support business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introducing and leading company change efforts, you will provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively.
You will model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following the One Best Way service model. You will manage and support customer service initiatives for the store and community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved. You will develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies and provide process‑improvement leadership to ensure a high‑quality customer experience.
Driving financial performance and sales of the designated store area is also a key part of the role. You will review and evaluate PL statements, manage budgeting, forecasting, and control expenses in the business area, monitor and ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. You will develop and implement plans to mitigate shrink and meet sales and profit goals.
Providing supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates is central. You will hire, train, mentor, assign duties, set expectations, provide recognition, and promote a belonging mindset in the workplace. You will recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
Other responsibilities include coordinating job-related activities, developing and maintaining key relationships, supporting corporate plans and initiatives, measuring progress, identifying improvement opportunities, demonstrating adaptability, and promoting continuous learning.
Finally, you will ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, uphold company values and ethics, and support the Open Door Policy. You will build high‑performing teams that embrace differences, foster a culture of belonging, and create opportunities for all associates to thrive.

- 2 years’ college education.
- OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
- OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
- For firearm‑selling facilities: successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training.
