About the job Corporate Company Secretary (Corporate Compliance Office)- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience with 2 at a Senior Manager in an FMCG (or similar) is required.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of Statutory Compliance and Corporate Governance.
- Excellent knowledge of financial processes and bank account management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with compliance software/tools is preferred.
- Certification in Compliance Management or Company Secretarial practice is advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with auditors to complete statutory tasks, including annual tax returns and audits.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all statutory filings and submissions.
- Act as the primary liaison with auditors and regulatory bodies, ensuring all queries are addressed promptly.
- Manage and operate company bank accounts, overseeing all transactions and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Reconcile bank statements regularly and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Oversee the preparation and processing of payments, including vendor payments.
- Handle ad hoc company secretarial tasks, such as preparing board meeting minutes and resolutions.
- Maintain statutory registers and records in compliance with legal requirements.
- Fulfil responsibilities as a Public Officer, ensuring compliance with all relevant obligations and regulations.
- Maintain archives, data rooms, and other records to ensure accessibility and compliance.
- Implement and manage a systematic archival and document retention process.
- Perform other similar ad hoc tasks to support administrative and financial functions as needed.
