Job Description

Responsible for management of the function, devising, implementing and providing input into the customer relationship management strategy. Strategically and operationally manage and grow a portfolio of high revenue generating clients.

Responsibilities
  • Look after the Inland areas from PMB to Newcastle.
  • Achieve the Net Income Return for the Business as defined in the Financial Performance Report.
  • Drive an increase in average balance of specific portfolio of assets.
  • Drive an increase in average balance of specific portfolio of liabilities.
  • Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions.
  • Manage existing clients and grow portfolio by making contact and generating leads through the Net Promoter Tool.
  • Maintain expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provide proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage the growth of the active customer account base to increase client base.
  • Maximise business portfolio cross‑sell opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
  • Manage the migration of accounts from transactional to Self‑Service.
  • Define a sales portfolio growth strategy in line with predetermined growth targets, conducting competitor analysis and innovating new value propositions.
  • Ensure effective data management by ensuring expired limits are attended to against set targets.
  • Prepare credit proposals for review by the Credit Product House.
  • Monitor and evaluate the organisation’s success in managing its legal and compliance risks for the portfolio of business accounts.
  • Improve business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence together with analyzing trends and data.
  • Manage own development to increase competencies.
  • Plan and manage performance, skills development, employment equity, talent and culture of the team to improve innovation, achieve efficiencies and increase competencies.
Qualifications
  • BCom in Finance, Banking, Economics or equivalent degree (FAIS accredited).
  • RE5 Certificate.
  • Knowledge of Islamic banking products.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Islamic Banking with knowledge of Shariah principles and Islamic Banking products.
  • 2 years’ experience in sales and/or service within the banking industry.
  • Proven track record in client relationship management and sales.
  • Not an unrehabilitated insolvent.
