Our client is a well-established and growing organisation operating within the financial services sector. This opportunity is suited to a highly adaptable finance professional who combines strong technical expertise with exceptional leadership capability.
Reporting directly into executive leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the finance function, driving financial planning and analysis initiatives, enhancing operational efficiencies through automation, and providing strategic financial insights that support business growth.
This role requires a hands‑on leader who is comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level. You will engage regularly with EXCO and Board members, presenting financial performance, business insights, and recommendations that influence key business decisions.
The ideal candidate will have experience within banking, consumer lending, or fintech environments and possess a deep understanding of financial operations, reporting, controls, and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Drive Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Oversee financial operations, controls, reconciliations, and compliance requirements.
- Develop and implement finance automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Lead financial modelling exercises to support business growth, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high‑performing finance team.
- Provide actionable financial insights to EXCO and Board stakeholders.
- Prepare and present management reports, board packs, and financial performance reviews.
- Ensure effective ERP system utilisation and optimisation across finance processes.
- Partner with key business stakeholders to drive operational and commercial improvements.
- Identify business risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Continuously improve finance processes, governance structures, and reporting frameworks.
- Qualified CA(SA).
- 10–15 years post-articles.
- Proven experience within Financial Services, Banking, Consumer Lending, or Fintech environments.

- Previous EXCO involvement is essential.
- Experience presenting financial information and recommendations to Board members.
