In a fast-paced manufacturing environment, effective financial management is crucial for sustainable growth and operational excellence. We are seeking a skilled Financial Manager to help our client navigate this landscape, ensuring sound financial strategies that support business expansion while maintaining strong control over costs.
Duties:Ensure accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and compliance with legislation and IFRS for SME
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and treasury activities
Prepare reports for management summarising the business’s financial position
Assist with strategic plans, budgets, and financial forecasts
Financial controlling of budgets, overhead costs, recoveries, cash flow, and working capital
Maintain financial accounting and costing records including general ledgers, accounts receivable, inventory ledgers, accounts payable, payroll, and expense reports
Coordinate and support internal processes for compliance with business guidelines
Manage financial risk including insurance
Review and analyze management reports and prepare annual budget pack
Oversee treasury operations including cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliations
Maintain fixed asset register and reconciliations
Support internal and external audits and liaise with auditors
Manage and review monthly General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations
Ownership of VAT and other tax requirements and queries
Support manufacturing finance including product costing, variance analysis, and inventory records
Provide financial insights into production efficiency and cost reduction initiatives
Participate in business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
Manage staff activities, appraisals, and development plans
Foster a productive corporate culture and staff satisfaction
B.Com Accounting degree or equivalent Commerce qualification
SAICA/CIMA/SAIPA registration or working towards registration will be advantageous
3-5 years’ minimum experience in a similar role
